A Stroll Down Memory Lane

Recently I was looking for an important document at my house. I went to look in the small safe where we keep important paperwork. In that safe were two CDs that I had backed up from an older computer. As I looked, I saw that there were pictures from some of the previous evangelism work that I did through the Next Generation Alliance (NGA) which was started by evangelist Luis Palau and through other ministries. I wanted to share a few of those pictures with you today. Photo dump incoming!

The above photos are from an area-wide Crusade in Tanga, Tanzania that I helped lead with Evangelist Franck Alexandre and Dr. Bill Thomas. The Lord moved in a mighty way and we saw people healed and delivered. Many people made commitments to Christ and were followed up by the churches that participated.

Above is another smaller open-air crusade that I led in Madagascar in a small village called Ambohijanaka which means, “Place of the children in Malagasy, the language of Madagascar. I also spoke in local churches. There were simultaneous crusades happening throughout the country sponsored by NGA. This was right after I had a total hip replacement. A map is shown below with the location in relation to the capital of Madagascar.

Arise Uganda was an NGA project where 15 cities were simultaneously engaged with the gospel. This was a very challenging outreach. The event I led was held in the town of Busia which is on the Kenya/Uganda Border. There was much spiritual warfare. You can read a report from the event by clicking below.

Cartagena Colombia was a completely different kind of outreach. We were working with Missionaries with the International Mission Board to reach out to some of the poorest Barrios in the area. The conditions in most of these places were wretched. Most of the people living there made about 2 USD per week at best. They would forage through the garbage dump in order to find useful scrap items to resell or adapt to use in their homes. Many trusted Christ as we went door to door or spoke to small groups.

I’m so thankful for the things that God has done in the past. There are many more photos from previous events that are possibly lost or exist in physical photo albums in storage. I’m thankful to share these with you today.

Until the Net is Full,

Darrel Davis
