Mardi Gras 2024 Outreach

Pelted with beaded necklaces, cussed out, mocked, spit upon, death threats, flashed, voodoo curses, called every name imaginable…

That describes my experience over the 18 years of my involvement in the outreach in New Orleans during the Mardi Gras. Every year I ask myself if I really want to deal with all the junk. And every year, I feel like the Lord is prompting me to return to enemy territory to preach the good news.

It’s not all bad. I have had numerous productive gospel conversations throughout the years and God has saved a few souls. Thousands of gospel tracts (seeds) have been sowed and the Word has been preached. The fellowship with other team members is outstanding – it’s like a family reunion. And, you won’t find a better place on the planet to enjoy some of the best food.

February 7-14, 2024 will be the next outreach in New Orleans. I will join with a small team of 20-30 people serving together in the harvest fields. It’s definitely not too early to start praying for this effort. I covet your prayers for myself, the other team members, and for the lost.

God has already provided my airfare. The other expenses will come in His time. Please pray for that as well.

You can help send me with your tax-deductible donation today by clicking here. Anything that you give toward this outreach is being matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $2500 between now and Christmas.

Thanks for the prayers.

Until the Net is Full,

Darrel Davis
